The Hisory of Emirates Sailing School On the 1st of May 1996 His Highness Sheikh Sulan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy prime Minister, and chairman of Emirates Heritage Club issued an executive order to form a Modern Sailing Committee with the aims of promoting modern and tradiional sailing within Emirate. From this beginning, a Modern Sailing Depatement has developed which not only offers training in an exciting range of modern and traditional watersports, but has also organized a number of national and regional championship events. Following on the success of students trained by the Modern Sailing Departement, at local, regional and international events, and the growth of waterspports in the UAE, the decision was taken to form an Emirates Sailing School This decision was made by His Highness Sheikh Sulan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the 3.7.2000 and the Sailing School will be completed within 5 years.

Our Objectives
The objectives of the Emirates Sailing school are:
1) To promote watersports to all age groups of Emirates Nationals.
2) Train Nationals to such a standard that they can compete in both National and International Events
3) Train Nationals to such a standard that they can instruct the new students of ESS
4) Expand our program to include waterskiing, jetskiing, rowing, kayaking, powerboating, navigation and first aid.
5) Gain international recognision for the courses we offer.
