The Levels Level 1, The basics of windsurfing. By the end of this course you'll be able to rig, launch, safely sail and return to the beach. You will also have a basic understanding of theory of windsurfing. Level 2, Improving techniques. Improving and developing the skills learnt in level 1. By the end of this course you will be able to sail more effectively and perform more advanced maneuvers. You will also have more theoretical knowledge of how the sail works. Level 3, An Introduction to planing. This is when windsurfing really gets fun. This level concentrates on the skill of planing (when the board goes so fast it literally takes of from the waters surface). By the end of the course you will be able to beach start, use the harness and be comfortable with performing maneuvers in high winds. Level 4, Planing Techniques. Improving and developing planing skills. By the end of this course you will be competent at planing and high wind maneuvers. You'll also advanced to using more high tech equipment. Level 5, Advanced Planing (long boards or short boards). By the end of this course you will have learnt a variety of gybe maneuvers, and perfected the planing techniques. The skills learnt will depend on the equipment used (long boards, or short boards). Instructor, teaches students the teaching techniques for each level and provides them with the knowledge required to run a safe lesson.
